VW Autonomous Car Charging Robot

German Automaker Volkswagen has unveiled an autonomous car charging robot that recharges electric cars.  The idea of robot that autonomously recharges electric vehicles has been a concept envisioned for some time.  Now the VW has unveiled a robot dedicated to that purpose of keeping electric cars fully charged and ready to drive.  The idea is to have robots recharge electric cars in large residential complexes rather than drivers going to a charging station.  The robot is fully autonomous and will be able to communicate with each electric vehicle; from opening the charging socket to connecting and decoupling the plug.
