Trojena Megaproject in Saudi Arabia is an all-inclusive Mega Resort That Will Host the 2029 Asian Winter Games
As part of the Saudi Vision 2030, the Kingdom aims to become the go to destination for travel and tourism. In keeping with this plan, the Kingdom is investing in multi-billion-dollar projects across the country. Trojena is the latest megaproject in the oil kingdom which will be part of the $500 billion project Neom City.
Year-round outdoor skiing and other winter activities
Trojena will be an all-year-round outdoor skiing and adventure sports facility that is expected to be completed sometime in 2026. In addition to offering world class skiing and outdoor adventures year-round, Trojena will host the 2029 Asian Winter Games.
The enormity of the Neom Project is simply staggering to behold. Slated to be 33 times the size of New York City, the Trojena ski haven will be one part of a sprawling complex with artificial lakes, ultra-luxury mansions and the Mirror Line project recently unveiled.

Trojena will be an all-inclusive experience. It will comprise six districts aptly named Explore, Discover, Gateway, Valley, Relax and Fun. Visitors can choose between any of these districts and experience all of them on a single vacation.
For those seeking the thrill of outdoor adventures, the ski village will feature a range of sports, including several ski slopes, mountain biking trails, and a range of other outdoor activities including watersports.
Trojena will also include what is being called a “Vault”, a vertical tower that will have restaurants, retail stores and many other indoor activities.

In addition to the above, the resort will host events throughout the year with the winter season offering skiing, snowboarding, ice skating, winter fashion week, film and musical events. Spring will offer high-altitude training, adventure triathlon, mountain biking, mountain climbing and more. The summer or lake season will offer music and food festival, art fairs, cultural events and much more.

The project will be built in the sprawling deserted terrain of western Saudi desert.
Trojena all-inclusive resort is projected to attract over 700,000 visitors by 2030 and stimulate the Saudi economy by creating up to 10,000 jobs. According to Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, “Trojena will redefine mountain tourism for the world by creating a place based on the principles of ecotourism, highlighting our efforts to preserve nature and enhance the community’s quality of life. It will be an important addition to tourism in the region, a unique example of how Saudi Arabia is creating destinations based on its geographical and environmental diversity.”
