Triton Project Hercules Submarine Features Chaise Lounge and a Mini Bar
Triton Project Hercules Submarine is a first-of-its-kind submersible capable of diving up to 2,000m and able to travel up to 8 knots. This new luxury submarine from Triton offers a private jet experience underwater and comes equipped with options for chaise lounge, a mini bar, oversized daybeds and VR headsets.
Unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show 2022, the submersible is a collaboration between Triton Submarine, yacht designer Espen Oeino and Dark Ocean Design and Engineering Studio. The interior design is compartmentalized with a separate compartment for passengers by two interior bulkheads, between which is the mini bar and another compartment for the pilot similar to the interior configuration of most private jets.
Design options for the interior includes twin designer chaise lounges in high-quality leather, an oversized daybed or an open floor space for general entertaining. The pilot’s seat can slide forward if required to curate the dive and then retract behind the bulkhead for privacy.
External features of the sub include cameras and spotlights that supplement the pilot’s external field of view while enhancing situational awareness of the ocean environment. The concept and engineering phase of the Triton Project Hercules Submarine is complete and the design team will now conduct CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) test and analysis of the model over the coming weeks which will be followed by final specification and pricing.
