This Space Plane Takes Off on a Runway, Flies Into Space and Lands on a Runway
Radian Aerospace, a Washington-based aerospace startup, claimed last month that it had received $27.5 million in funding to create the first totally reusable horizontal takeoff and landing space plane. The craft would be single-stage, with no booster rockets and would be able to take-off like a conventional plane fly into space and land back on Earth like a plane. It would also be completely reusable, lowering the cost of space travel even further.
