This ultra-rare 1937 Bentley DHC by James Young has been forensically restored and is being auction by Silvertone Auctions for a whopping £300,000. This unusual Drophead Coupé (DHC) Bentley is so rare that it would make for an extraordinary film depicting the rediscovery of lost treasures.
The classic car world is blessed to have this rare Bentley restored to perfection and owners that are passionate enough to invest unlimited amounts of time and money to restoring these classics to their glory days. Discovering this gem was started out by a vendor’s quest to discover the origins and provenance of B172 KT correctly documented has prompted the disclosure and reclamation of this DHC Bentley.
The B172 KT, was traded in the USA in 1971, and sent back to Liverpool England in February of 1989 for a full nut-and-screw refurbishing. By 1992 it was bought by the proprietor preceding the ongoing merchant who spent the next 19 years modifying and upgrading the vehicle using the best restorers in the United Kingdom.
