The H2 Clipper Will Bring Back The Olden Days Of Hydrogen Airships

When we think of Hydrogen Airships what comes to mind is the Hindenburg disaster. However, that was then and this is now and with the technology available today hydrogen airships may once again grace our skies and become one of the safest means of transportation. California based startup H2 Clipper plans to construct airships that will not only use hydrogen for lift but will transport the fuel to other locations. In addition, hydrogen fuel cells will be used to power the airship engines instead of fossil fuels. While the project is still in its infancy, when built, the airship will be able to cruise at 175 mph with a cargo volume of 265,000 cubic feet and be able to carry 340,000 pound of payload at a distance of up to 6,000 miles.
