The All-Water Bike is a Rudimentary Innovation with Great Potential for Enhancement

Haven’t you always wanted to ride your bicycle on water? Well with the All-Water Bike you can do just that. Traverse lakes, rivers and ponds with this innovative water bike that lets you pedal your way across bodies of water just like a conventional bike except supported on four large circular pontoons that provide buoyancy and propulsion.

It’s as simple and rudimentary as it looks, and we can safely assume that someone will perfect this into something more appealing in the near future. For now, it’s simply an aluminum frame tethered to four gigantic hollow ball-shaped wheels, that as mentioned above provide buoyancy. On the outside of the wheels are slats that turn with the wheel and behave as propellers to move the bike forward on the water as the rider pedals.

The all-water bike may not be your idea of water fun, after all this is not the kind of toy you can zip around with on the water. It’s alarmingly slow by any definition and takes a lot of muscle power to move forward.

The idea for the water bike is ingenious as is the wheel design, but as mentioned above the design needs a lot more refinement to turn this concept into a truly useful everyday machine that can be used for water fun and other applications.
