RYUGER BLOWS AWAY THE COMPETITION WITH ITS FUTURISTIC EIDOLON BR-RTS E-BIKE
Little known Australian brand Ryuger unveiled its new e-bike, the Eidolon BR-RTS with a futuristic design that literally blows away the competition. The design of the bike is astounding and appears to be something straight out of a sci-fi movie. The Eidolon BR-RTS is a full-suspension e-bike with an aerodynamic fork, a full carbon handlebar, carbon swingarm and a one-piece carbon wheelset.
It’s built for on-road or off-road riding thanks to Cane Creek fully adjustable DB Coil shocks that absorbs virtually anything and allows the bike to traverse the roughest or smoothest terrain. Unlike other e-bikes, the Eidolon can use either 26 or 29 inch wheels depending on the rider’s choice with the larger wheels better suited for certain terrain riding and weather conditions.
Eidolon includes Shimano’s 250W steps e8000 electric drive system that produces 52 lb-ft of cadence sensing torque with three levels of boost, propelling the bike to a top speed of 15.5 mph. Braking is achieved by a proprietary hydraulic disc brake system with twin discs at the front-end of the bike, something that is unusual for any bike but the company saw fit for a high-performance bike like the BR-RTS.
The frame of the bike is made from a revolutionary fabrication process that eliminates the use of traditional bladders and pre-peg carbon lay-up. The frame itself weighs in at an impressive 42 pounds which is not bad for an electric bike. Furthermore, if you ride in the elements or take the bike off-road, you can safely stow away your phone, wallet and other essentials in its waterproof compartment that is conveniently located behind the front-end.
The Eidolon BR-RTS comes in two colors, Acid Avocado and Space Racing. The company has yet to release pricing but you can rest assured a bike of this capacity won’t cost two cents.
