Rolls-Royce All-Electric Aircraft Completes Maiden Flight

Rolls-Royce first all-electric aircraft has completed its maiden flight, soaring across the skies of the United Kingdom for 15 minutes. Named the “Spirit of Innovation”, the aircraft utilizes a 400 KW electric powertrain with the most power-dense battery pack ever assembled for an aircraft. The flight marked the beginning of intense flight-testing phase for the aircraft with the hopes of achieving speeds in excess of 300 miles per hour.
