Roadrunner Twin Turbo Autonomous Air Vehicle (AAV) is a Next Generation Air Defense System
With insecurity increasing globally and the threat of a global military conflict appearing more inevitable, now more than ever it’s imperative to protect vital airspace. The Roadrunner Twin Turbo Autonomous Air Vehicle (AAV) is a reusable, vertical take-off and landing (VTOL), operator-supervised air vehicle with twin turbojet engines and a modular payload with configurations that can support a wide variety of missions.
The Roadrunner-M is a high-explosive interceptor variant built for ground-based defense that can identify a threat, launch rapidly and intercept and destroy a wide variety of aerial threats and return to any location for recovery and reuse at near-zero cost. Roadrunner-M can travel at high-subsonic speeds, is extremely maneuverable and carries a modular payload. It can follow and track distant targets at the first sign of danger, giving remote operators more time and information to properly assess the target before interception.
Roadrunner-M is stored in a networked automated hangar that enables easy transport, maintenance and launch of the Roadrunner. The system ensures that Roadrunner is always on alert and ready to be launched in seconds. The system’s open architecture allows it to be interoperable with existing air defense radars, sensors and missile systems.
