Meet Pepper The Humanoid Robot That Responds to Human Emotion

Pepper is a humanoid robot that is the world’s first robot able to recognize facial and basic human emotions. Designed and optimized specifically for human interaction, Pepper is able to engage with people through conversation and touch commands.

Standing at 4′-2″ tall, the robot features sensors that recognize its environment and detects human presence and enters into a conversation when it detects an individual. A touch screen display on its chest displays content to highlight messages and support speech.
