Dubai’s $5 Billion Moon Resort is an Out of This World Project That Will Boost the Local Tourism Economy
Dubai is known for projects that defy the imagination and the new Moon World Resort is no exception. The city recently announced construction of the $5 billion moon-shaped ultra-luxury resort that will be built in the city and become the new center of attraction in a city filled with many dazzling projects.
Designed by Canadian architectural firm Moon World Resorts Inc. the 735-foot high structure will offer a 10-acre lunar colony for guests and 300 residential sky villas that will be for sale. In addition, the resort will boast a private club, luxury spas, an events center, a moon shuttle and a training hub for foreign space agencies.
The Moon Resort is the latest mega-project in Dubai and is expected to open doors to the public in 2027. It is estimated to bring in 2.5 million visitors annually and significantly boost the local economy in sectors such as entertainment, technology, education, environment, space tourism and hospitality.
The Moon Resort project in Dubai will be very similar to the $5 billion Moon Resort in Las Vegas where a mega-replica of the moon towers over a luxury hotel, casino, concert hall and multiple lounges.
