Blackfly Single-Seat Electric Aircraft
The BlackFly single-seat electric aircraft is the world’s first ultra-light fied-wing, all-electric, single-seat, vertical take-off and landing aircraft. Of course this is what its manufacturer claims with some pretty deep pockets to back up that claim, like Google co-founder Larry Page. The aircraft designed by Canadian Marcus Leng and his company Opener features a bubble canopy that seats the pilot with a fuselage that resembles two boat hulls. It was first revealed in 2018 after nine years of development and has since then undergone some dramatic improvements with the intentions of it becoming the first sport recreational aircraft.
