Baltic Yachts 110 Zemi is a Fast-Cruising Yacht Built for Global Family Sailing
Baltic Yachts has introduced the 110 Zemi, a fast-cruising sailing yacht built for global family sailing. The new Zemi is a 110 ft all carbon composite yacht with a bronze hull and a sleek silhouette with aggressive angles. Baltic Yachts teamed up with naval architects Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design and A2B Marine Projects to conceive and design the 110 Zemi.
The Zemi is the third Baltic yacht to be commissioned and a follow on to the previous Baltic 112 Liara. The Zemi is powered by an electric propulsion system that uses proven Lithium-ion batteries that powers a Danfoss motor driving a conventional shaft.
The combination produces a highly efficient, quieter vessel with drastically reduced vibration compared to traditional internal combustion engine yachts. The electric motor produces zero emissions and converts to a generator using the yacht’s free-wheeling propeller while sailing.
Besides its electric motor, the yacht is equipped with twin 129kW Cummins diesel generators that comply with IMO Tier 3 emissions standards. The lavish interior designed by Stockholm-based designer Andreas Martin-Löf is Scandinavian-inspired with modern furnishing, warm walnut hues and limestone veneers.
