Alice, The World’s First All-Electric Aircraft Prepares for Maiden Flight

Last Monday, at Arlington Municipal Airport north of Seattle, the Alice, a plane manufactured by Israeli startup Eviation, went through engine testing in preparation for its first flight which is only weeks away. The nine-passenger Alice will be able to fly for one hour and 440 nautical miles with battery technology similar to that of an electric car or a cell phone and 30 minutes of charging. The plane can cruise at a maximum speed of 250 knots (287 miles per hour).
