Aerion AS3 Supersonic Airliner
On Monday, a new supersonic commercial airliner was unveiled, with the designer and manufacturer claiming speeds of Mach 4-plus. The AS3, which can accommodate up to 500 passengers for 7,000 miles, is scheduled to make its first flight before the end of the decade, according to Aerion and will be able to travel from New York to London in less than an hour.
