This Outrageous Superyacht and Blimp Concept Could Become a Millionaire’s Toy in 2026

Known as AirYacht, this outrageous superyacht and blimp concept could become a millionaire’s toy if its every built. Designed by Guillaume Hoddé and Matthieu Ozanne, this radical concept is 197-foot superyacht tethered to the bottom of a giant 656-foot air blimp. It allows the owner to use the yacht on water or use it while cruising through the skies which offers the best of both worlds.

In order for the superyacht to be used on water, the blimp can deploy the yacht from a few hundred feet above the ground without the airship landing. The yacht will be slowly let down from the mothership (blimp) with cables that are connected to some kind of hydraulic system aboard the blimp.

When finished cruising around the water, the superyacht is reattached to the cables and hoisted back to the underside of the blimp. Once in place on the underside of the blimp, the superyacht becomes the gondola where the occupants can ride through the skies enjoying the breathtaking view.

The superyacht sports an aerodynamic hull built from ultra-lightweight carbon that both reduces drag and increases lifting capacity of the balloon. The balloon or airship will run exclusively on hydrogen and include space for three crew members. It will be able to travel up to 50 knots and at an altitude of 9,800 feet with a one-week autonomous cruising time.

Inside the superyacht or gondola are three-levels with roughly 8,000 square-foot of living space that can accommodate up to 12 guest in a six cabin layout. As with any superyacht, its not complete if it doesn’t have a Jacuzzi, Pool, Spa, Gym, Helipad and a garage for the owner’s supercars.
