The 2026 Acura RSX Crossover EV Teased
How many of us car enthusiasts remember the legendary Acura Integra from the 90’s and how disappointed we were when Honda decided to discontinue production and replace it with the Acura RSX? While the Integra continued to be produced for other global market segment, the RSX was the North American replacement for the Integra. Initial models of the RSX were underwhelming and the model never gained the traction the Integra had especially with younger buyers, and it was later discontinued in 2006.
Honda as of recently, has been resurrecting older models such as the Integra and the RSX. The integra returned in 2021, 16-years after it was discontinued. Now Acura is resurrecting the RSX with a brand new redesigned 2026 Acura RSX EV. The new RSX is an EV Crossover that deviates greatly from its gas-powered coupe predecessor. For the new RSX EV Crossover, Honda isn’t utilizing General Motors platforms as it did the underperforming ZDX. The RSX will be the first Acura built on Honda’s own native EV platform.
Honda is tight-lipped about many details of the new RSX, only releasing a camouflaged prototype showing a four-door fastback crossover silhouette. More details are expected to emerge as the RSX is slated to begin real-world testing sometime in January 2025 with production slated to begin at Honda’s factory in Ohio later this year.
