The HiPhi “A” Electric Hypercar Concept is an Ultra-Stylish Entrant from a Chinese EV Automaker
The Chinese EV automaker HiPhi based in Shanghai is introducing the new “A” concept electric hypercar at the 2023 Guangzhou Auto Show which debuts from November 17th – 26th. The ultra-stylish four-door sportback features a brutalist design with a touch of cyperpunk inspired styling with steely straight line edges running from the front to the rear of the low profile design. The concept is a blend of WESAI’s (another Chinese automaker) Apollo electric hypercar project using HiPhi’s batteries and motor.
The HiPhi 800v electric powertrain generates up to 1,287 hp via three motors. Thats enough power to propel the A from 0-60 mph in two seconds and reach a top speed of 186 mph. Other features include carbon fiber rotors with magnetic cylinder coil cooling technology which allows the rotor to run at 22,000 rpm. Rear wheel drive with active steering and a near 50:50 weight distrubution tops out the entire “A” package. The “A” is an impressive hypercar from a relatively young Chinese brand. The company hopes to have it in production by the first quarter of 2025.
