The Karma Kaveya is a Limited Edition Supercar EV with Outstanding Performance
When we hear the word “karma” many of us would attribute it with the saying that what is done usually comes back around. Far from anyone’s mind would be the thought that this word is the name of a burgeoning EV automaker that is exceeding expectations and turning heads with designs that put that are putting Tesla’s to shame. Karma Automotive is a Chinese-owned American producer of luxury vehicles founded in 2014 with headquarters in Irvine California and assembly plants in Moreno Valley.
At the 2023 Las Vegas Concours, the commpany unveiled a range-topping grand tourer named the Kaveya. The Kaveya is an all-electric couple being produced in two versions; a luxury high-performance version with AWD and 1,180 hp output slated for deliveries in 2026 and a baseline rear-wheel drive model with 536 hp that is slated for deliveries in the fourth quarter of 2025. Estimated range on a full charge for the AWD version is 250+ miles, which is not bad for a manufacturer with minimal sales in the North American market. That however may change with the Kaveya being more stylish and cheaper than similar sized EV’s from other manufacturers.
The Kaveya is fitted with a 120kWh battery that can propel it from 0-60 mph in three seconds and can reach a top speed of 180 mph. The exterior design is absolutely stunning with hidden LED lamps; a modern take on the original flip up headlights. The rear features thin LED rear lights with two vertical LED rear lights, one in the middle of the rear windshield and the other fitted to the rear bumper. The design blends elements of the Mercedes AMG Vision Gran Turismo, the elusive Aspark Owl, and the tailing sunroof looks like something from a McLaren GT.
With impressive peformance figures and a slick design with scissor doors, the new Karma Kaveya is a worthwhile competitor to established EV models currently on the market and looks set to place the Chinese company firmly on the EV map. Karma is currently taking reservations for the Kaveya.
