The New 2023 Fisker Ocean Has More Range Than A Tesla Model Y
The new 2023 Fisker Ocean is an electric Crossover SUV that will have a range of up to 360 miles on a single charge, that is much farther driving range than a Tesla Modey Y, Hyundai Ioniq 5, and the Nissan Ariya. It’s the first of three in a lineup of mass-marketed all-electric vehicles designed by Henrik Fisker. The company plans to offer the new 2023 Ocean in both rear and all-wheel drive versions.

In order to avoid the difficulties and expenses associated with setting up and running its own plant, Fisker announced on October 15, 2020 that it would outsource the manufacturing of the Ocean to Magna Steyr, an Austrian contract manufacturer. Fisker used the electric car platform provided by Magna and will grant Magna a share of up to 6% of Fisker equity. Fisker completed its manufacturing agreement with Magna Steyr in June 2021, and the first production of the Fisker Ocean started in November 2022 with the model being officially released in 2023.

The New Fisker Ocean is finally ready to make its debut in the North American market and its handsome styling and epic mileage is guaranteed to turn heads and empty pockets. The top of the level trim comes with 20-inch wheels and a driving range of 360 miles thanks to its 113.0 kWh battery pack. Lower end versions with larger wheel diameters will undoubtedly have less miles per charge. The much anticipated debut of the Ocean in North America has been held up due to a lenghy CARB certification process. Now that the company has aquired full certification its ready to fulfill preorders and introduce the model to the North American market.

While the Ocean is assembled in Austria, Fisker has plans for its future lineup of electric cars such as the Pear Small SUV and the Ronin Flagship four-door convertible to be assembled in Lordstown Ohio making it easier for the company to sell its vehicles in North America.
