The New Alpha Motors Montage EV Coupe is a Retro-Styled Electric Car That Resurrects The Olden Days of Automotive Design
We all knew this one was coming, a retro styled EV that fulfills the yearning of automotive Nostalgists blended with everything modern. Alpha Motors, the Irvine California based electric vehicle company recently unveiled its newest creation, the Montage EV Coupe.

The Montage as it is aptly named lives up to the meaning of word, blending pieces of automotive design from the early days to modern times. This retro-styled EV is unlike anything on the market and the first of its kind EV to incorporate traditional design features of cars from the 50’s to early 60’s.

The exterior design of the Montage is absolutely stunning, in keeping with classic car designs and blending elements of modern design. The subtle metallic silver paint applied to the exterior reinforces its retro appearance.

The elegant profile of the vehicle seen from the side resembles that of a 50’s era British sports car or some may say it looks more akin to a retro VW Beetle. It features side-mounted fender scuffs, brilliant chrome accents that stand out against its silver metallic finish and the central hood features the iconic triangular emblem that we have come to appreciate on Alpha models.

The interior of the Montage seats two passengers in a cabin made from sustainable materials and recycled fibers. Naturally, the dashboard is also retro inspired, with large analog dials with chrome trim all around. The center console features large vents with more chrome trim and a classic radio. The only modern element on the dash is a digital speedometer and a digital sound system.

Under the hood, the Montage has an electric drive unit that produces 201 hp and 2,640 lb-ft of torque mated to the rear wheels via a single-speed transmission. A 400v battery pack with DC fast charging will provide an estimated 201 miles of range. An upgraded custom-built lithium-ion battery pack will give the vehicle and additional 50 miles range up to 250 miles on a single charge.

8-inch spoke wheels with whitewall tires and a bespoke silver metallic colorway adorns the wheel wells. Additional features include electronic steering, independent suspension, and performance disc brakes.
The Montage will be a limited production electric car with a price tag starting at $499,000 per unit.
