Lucid’s Gravity SUV is Expected to be an All-Electric SUV With Supercar Performance
Lucid Gravity, the California-based luxury automaker second electric vehicle is finally making its debut after being announced in 2020. Images of the new SUV were released and the company claims the new Gravity will have exceptional performance and range. The Gravity will be Lucid’s largest vehicle to date and the company’s first all-electric SUV.
The new Gravity SUV will feature three-row seating for up to seven passengers with flexible seating that enables multiple configurations. A relatively new feature in the automotive industry, Glass Canopy transparent roof stretching from the dashboard to the third row will be standard on the SUV.
The rest of the interior cabin is in keeping with Lucid’s design ethos with flexible cabin and cargo spaces. State-of-the-art electronics such as Lucid’s UX software interface will interact with front-row passengers. Passengers will have access to SiriusXM streaming, Apple CarPlay and many more all ergonomically laid-out on Lucid’s organically curved Glass Cockpit high-resolution displays.
Gravity will be an all-electric SUV, but performance and range details are being kept secret. We can safely assume that it will be based on the same platform and powertrain as the Air Sedan with the same 118-kWh extended range battery.
Lucid is expected to begin taking orders for the Gravity electric SUV in early 2023 with the first units being available in early 2024.
